Emulsifying wax is a necessary ingredient when it comes to making lotions and creams. Everyone has heard the term “water and oil don’t mix”. The use of emulsifying wax will do just that – bind your oils and water together on a molecular level with the end result becoming lotion or cream.
Emulsifying wax is a nonionic emulsifier is ethoxylated cetearyl alcohol compounded with cetearyl alcohol self-emulsifier blend for oil-in-water formulations, does not require the aid of other emulsifiers and has high electrolyte tolerance.
It forms highly stable emulsions with excellent appearance and feel, compatible with a wide range of ingredients and pH 3-12.
Soluble in oil phase of formulation. Used in creams, lotions, cream-gels, foundations, and hair conditioners.
