- Bemotrizinol is an oil-soluble organic compound that is added to sunscreen to absorb UV rays. It is a wide area (broadband) ultraviolet absorber, light stability is very high, can absorb UVB and UVA, its absorption peak has two, respectively at the wavelength 310 and 340 nm.
